The nursery promotes active play and nutrition daily throughout the service. Children have access to three large playrooms and a planting zone. Children have been growing our own fruits and veggies. The children pick herbs from our herb garden daily for the Chef to use in our soups and lunches.
Children have been learning the importance of soil to plate and our herb and veggie patch has produced some fantastic foods. Children are encouraged to try at least 8 different fruits or veggies throughout the day. Our snacks always give four options for the children to explore. Children have access to daily fresh water and milk.
All our lunches and snacks are cooked inhouse in our purpose build kitchen which the children have an area where they can cook and ask our chef questions. Children brush their teeth daily as part of our healthy lifestyle approach. Children use a self service system which helps to promote independence and allow them to make choices.
The staff and management will work with individual families and children to ensure all allergens and cultural needs are respected and supported. All staff are trained in First Aid and Food Hygiene. The management and Chef create and track all food weekly within the nursery. Children have a daily food log and staff share this information with parents on a daily basis.
