The nursery has been working hard since opening in April 2021 to become embedded within our local community. The nursery currently supports Spider Arts with their mobile Art Therapy unit. Chris one of our qualified practitioners cycled from Lands End to John O Groats raising over £2000.00 . The Art Therapy unit support children within the G53 area daily, allowing them access free support. Staff have giving up their time to support community open days and allowed the community to access crafts and games for children at family days.
The nursery also donate weekly to the local food bank, helping the with fresh milk and fruit products throughout the year. The children also collect special items at Christmas and Easter and donate them to help the community.
Over the past 18 months the nursery has also supported the local community with litter pick and tree planting. The staff all donated their time to run stalls at the Nitshill Festival and created a fantastic Halloween outdoor Spooktacular event for everyone in the community to enjoy. The 3-5 Children have been supporting Wheatly Group with planting new trees and rubbish collecting next to Cleeves Primary. This will be a termly event. We also held a Gruffalo tea party which was to help us promote early literacy.
